1914

A lease was issued for the Union Church on three lots between Patricia and Geikie at Balsam

1914

The original Anglican Church was built on the 700 block of Geikie out of cedar logs from B.C. purchased from the Grand Trunk Railway.

1918

The Roman Catholic Church applied for a site on the 600 block of Patricia Street.

1923

Part of Reserve 9 (corner of Geikie and Miette) reserved for the Anglican Church with the understanding the church would surrender their other lease on Geikie St. A rectory was built that same year.

1924

The church on the lots between Patricia and Geikie at Balsam became the property of the Union Church and a manse was erected.

1924

The Roman Catholic Church applied for a site on the corner of Geikie Street and Pyramid and began building a brick church and added a rectory in 1926.

1927

A parish hall was erected behind the log Anglican church on Geikie.

1929

A new Anglican church was built on the corner of Geikie and Miette when an anonymous donor in England provided the funds. A tower was added in 1932 and the church was renamed St. Mary and St. George.

1948

The United Church made an addition to the church to accommodate the choir, Sunday School and church groups.

1958

The Anglican log church was demolished and the parish hall was moved and modernized.

1965

The Roman Catholic Church applied for a lot to build a new church on the corner of Pyramid lake Road.

1965

The United Church applied for part of the reserve known as Pine Grove Park and prepared to sell their church to Baptist Union of Western Canada. The following year the Baptist Church was remodelled to add a front entranceway, a side corridor and meeting rooms at the rear.

1967

The Lutheran Church took over the old Catholic Church.

1967

The United Church commenced construction of the first section of a new church, later named The McCready Centre.

1968

The new Roman Catholic Church was completed incorporating a sanctuary, parish hall and rectory.

1971

The Jasper Pentecostal Church was founded, first known as the Jasper Assembly of God.  They met in the Masonic Hall until they purchased the building at the corner of Connaught and Pine in 1983.
