Canadian National Railways steam locomotive 6060 was built at the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1944 and entered the main line passenger service, part of the prestige runs known as the Continental Limited and International Limited in Quebec and Ontario.

In 1955 the 6060 was sent west after a conversion from coal to oil but was retired in 1959.  In 1962, after Harry Home purchased the 6060 for one dollar, it was put on display in Jasper. In 1971 the 6060 was restored and put back into service for steam engine excursions in eastern Canada.  In 1980 the 6060 was returned to Alberta where it was given to the province and used in the celebrations for Alberta’s 75th anniversary, later going on display at the Alberta Pioneer Museum in Namao. 

The 6060 was resurrected in 1985 with the help of the Rocky Mountain Rail Society, Harry Home and the Alberta Provincial government and traveled from Jasper to Vancouver for Steam Expo 1986.

In 1998, the 6060 was moved to Stettler where it was used to carry excursion passengers for Alberta Prairie Steam Tours until boiler issues forced it out of service in 2011.
